Act Twenty-Six: Donate school supplies to the Boy’s and Girl’s Club of Raleigh

Each summer, my kids attend a summer camp at their preschool.  The camp has a new theme each week and the final week theme is always “Christmas in July.”  The teachers decorate the classrooms with lights and Christmas trees and all of the crafts are holiday related.  The school also has a fundraiser during this week to raise school supplies for the Boy’s and Girl’s Club of Raleigh.  For any of you out there who has recently tackled a back to school classroom list, you understand the importance of this fundraiser.  We spent $50+ on Li Na’s kindergarten supply list, and I kept thinking about families that may not be able to afford basic school supplies.  So, the kids and I picked out a few supplies each to donate to the fundraiser.  My Mom was a kindergarten teacher so hopefully she loved this act of kindness in her honor.
